Mariner Systems Test Laboratory first opened in April 2001 on the Enterprise City Industrial Estate in Spennymoor.

In June 2009, we relocated to larger premises in Maple Way on Aycliffe Industrial Park in order to bring all of our test equipment under one roof and provide a more efficient and effective service to our rapidly expanding customer base.

Our test facility undertakes all of our own marine type approval testing programmes in addition to any specific customer requirements and we can offer a quality process for marine products through all stages of design, testing and production.

Over the years we have established very good working relationships with the major marine Classification Societies, i.e. ABS, BV, CCS, DNV, KR, LR, NKK, PRS and RINA.

As detailed in our UKAS Accreditation Schedule, we can offer numerous other test procedures to address both marine and non-marine product areas. Our fully equipped laboratory utilises a wide range of 'state of the art' test equipment including a 3 metre semi-anechoic chamber - as illustrated below:-
